Will ISIS Ever Be Stopped?

I guess a lot of people are wondering if the terrorist group ISIS will ever be stopped. However sadly I don't think they will, mainly because both the US and the UK Government are too spineless to do anything about this very serious threat.

But why is that? I'll tell you why, they don't want to be seen as racist, political correctness has gone too far. ISIS are nothing but cold bloodied killers and the whole world needs to stand up and rid this evil from this earth.

How many more people have to die before the people in power say enough is enough? I tell you something if I had an army I would have declared war a long time ago.

They must be stopped else they will destroy us. There is a real war coming - extremist Islam (in the shape of ISIS) versus the rest and sooner or later we (the west) will have to take a stand. Politicians continually pussy-foot around the issue but this is all to do with an extremist view of religion. The stated aim of Islam is to convert the entire world (peacefully if possible) to their faith but the extremists (such as ISIS) will stop at nothing to do so (read this: http://goo.gl/bLrbdb ). Eventually we will get our act together and do what must be done but the cost will be high.

Well stated. Today the name is ISIS but the people and belief behind it are the same as the Crusades. History reveals the Muslim world has been crying death to Christians for a 1000 years.

It is easy to sit back where we are and make judgements about things. But if involved directly we might know more and act differently because of that. Remember the media only shows what they think will draw viewers. They do not show the whole story

Not until something is done about Syria's conflict. Terrorist organizations are like germs. They like to grow in diseased environments. So the first step toward ending ISIS is by working with Russia on a just solution to the Syrian conflict. ISIS will never be defeated as long s Syria is in chaos. But I think many countries don't want to see the war over so it is very unlikely that ISIS will be defeated anytime soon.

I believe the established goal of any religion is to grow and promote itself. Except Judaism of course. But I don't think that ISIS wants people to convert as much as it wants them dead. Covering people to your religion or ideology requires peaceful approach and reasoning, something ISIS has no interest of doing. They even threaten to kill those Muslims who do not agree with them.

I'm picking a vibe that indicates that the ISIS folks believe they are direct descendants of Sargon of Akkad. They look like his kids. They act just as ruthless and crazy as he did!!

Anyway … the reports you hear or read in the media on ISIS or ISIL is what is being publicly disclosed. The rest is on a “need to know” basis. Don't be surprised if you wake up one day and people are dancing in the streets because once again good triumphed over evil. { I like to think positive about our future. :) }

Shadi - I have no quarrel with Islam as such and in my previous comment here I repeatedly referred to those extremists who promote a warped version of Islam. It's extremism I have the problem with - and you are right when you say that they are just as much of a threat to ordinary Muslims as they are to non-believers.

I agree with you. America and Britain are way too politically correct in dealing with them. It is sad.
