"Dear Mr President" by Pink

This song came out during Bush Jr's presidency. It was one of very few "pop" songs my grandpa would admit to liking. Not only did he like he, but he actually cried when I played it for him. I have loved the song since the first time I heard it. It basically is a candid conversation with the president about the laws that he had passed and how he lived with the decisions that he made.

It's actually a really touching song.

The first part of the song holds my favorite lines and lyrics to the song:

Dear Mr. President,
Come take a walk with me.
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me.
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly.

I would recommend checking it out if you haven't heard it before, even if the fact that Pink sings it makes you a little wary.

I like Pink but I didn't like Bush. I will check out the song. I will look it up on YouTube.

I don't remember this song but will check it out. I'm not a big fan of Bush Jr, or Sr, nor am I a Pink fan. I listened to the song and read the lyrics. A bit hypocritical of a mega-rich pop star (net worth $138 million) living in a luxury $12 million dollar home and riding around in a $100,000 sports car to even bring such things up, wouldn't you say?

Haha, not very many people know this song. I can't even remember if it was released as part of a CD or was just a stand alone.
