Things to Do on a Grey and Cloudy Monday

It is already noon on Monday, and I am glad that it is cooler today. We are obviously entering the autumn, when we will have a day or two of grey clouds and/or scattered showers, followed by a day or two of partly cloudy sunshine. I appreciate the cooler nights of 46-56F (8-13C). I sleep better, though last night was fitful.

I have been reading a bit this morning, and came to Persona Paper to post several articles. I am trying to resurrect some things that were posted several years ago at another site, as well as writing other things. I have several drafts started that I hope to submit by the end of the week.

I began my morning at 4:00 a.m. by writing an email to my sister, Sonja, who lives in Oklahoma. Today is her 53rd birthday. Last year, I was back for a visit for 10 days or so. Oh, how I loved spending time with her. I have a small package to mail to her this afternoon. I am not good about getting these things out on-time to reach people on their day.

I paid my bills with online banking this morning. It is one of the things about technology that I absolutely love. It has been a lifesaver for me this past decade in more ways that just my credit score!

I also have to get to the library to pick up the fourth season of The Good Wife and to return some other things that I have either finished, or have decided not to watch. I think that I am done with foreign films for the time being and cannot bear them. They will always be available later, as no one seems to be clamoring for them on hold lists.

I am also happy to report that activity seems to have picked up yesterday and today. After four days of 40-70 coins, I was happy to realize that I earned 120 coins yesterday, and am already over 100 for the last 12 hours. With this post, I have reached the milestone of 6000 coins, valued at $9.00, almost to the halfway mark of redemption!

Time for me to head out for the afternoon. Have a great day, everyone.

You amaze me. 120 coins yesterday? I thought Sunday was pretty dead with little post action.

Wow! What a great lot of coins. There certainly seems to have been a pick up of activity. I posted 3 articles yesterday and they have all disappeared from the front page.

CoralLevang wrote on September 14, 2015, 4:23 PM

Yep. I note them from midnight to midnight to get my 24 hour levels.

Thanks, Meg. I really am trying not to let things get me down, as I have the last week. I realize that I have to keep looking beyond some of the stuff I let affect me. I am seeing good things here, and it's not always my "job" to inspire others to do the same. emoticon :winking:

I have some catch up to do, so will look for your posts tonight.

I have had to learn and relearn over my lifetime that I cannot live other people's lives for them, any more than I let my parents live mine for me!

You mean that this old dog (pointing at self) can still learn new tricks? emoticon :winking: I just wish I didn't have to relearn the old ones! LOL

That was certainly quite a bit. Congrats on earning that much! Hopefully, you are able to keep this up.

I have regularly earned an average of 150 or so a day for quite awhile. Something just plummeted, and hopefully, it's recovering. I think so, at any rate.

Sounds like you are felling good and hope you have a great day

I think I just needed a couple of "mental health" days away from the craziness that is people, in general. emoticon :winking:

Mental health days are good. So are cooler nights to sleep. We just got back from a camping trip in the mountains. I fell asleep early and woke up late (for me)—about 6 a.m.

Your day away seemed to have worked and you seem brighter. The autumn season can let you see more clearly for the humid haze has risen.

Keep on wracking up those coins, or is it racking up those coins, it's late and I'm tired so I'll let you choose. I was something of a slouch this last week between being sick and then heading out of town for some coastal healing.

Those fitful nights of sleeping/not sleeping take their toll pretty quickly. I hope tonight offers a better rest for you. That can only aid in feeling more like yourself again.

Thats why I love the critters so much. They are always honest about how they feel

What kind of foreign films do you like to watch? Have you seen any Chinese? You are about a 100 coins ahead of me. Keep up the good work and go Packers!

See? Didn't I tell you redemptions get easier and easier and come faster and faster?

A very grey day here and wet. An excellent excuse for staying indoors and drinking tea!

chrisandmark wrote on September 16, 2015, 4:26 PM

Sounds like you had a relaxed-productive day emoticon

ps - I think I'll start counting my coins midnight to midnight, I feel like I need to start paying attention to the details a little more
