30 Day Book Challenge Day 2

Day 2 of the book challenge is a book you've read more than three times.

This one's something of a challenge for me as it's rare I read books more than once, apart from for my favourite book, which is a challenge for another day.

So a book I'm sure I've read more than three times will have to be one from my childhood. Books were shorter in those days, and I've reread more than a few of them as an adult.

It will have to be Silver Brumbies of the South by Elyne Mitchell. This is actually the third book in the Silver Brumby series, but was the one I read first. I think I borrowed it from the library at school. It remains my favourite of the series, and one I've read quite a few times.

The story is a about two young colts (horses) who are taking to a new area to live by their grandfather (well ones father).

It's a lovely story and one I really enjoyed growing up.

When I was a little girl, I read "My Friend Flicka" by Mary O'Hara about a half dozen times. Flicka was a horse.

I haven't heard of this one, so perhaps it did not cross the pond. My favorite books growing up were Dominic by William Steig, and Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh. I know I read both repeatedly, and they would probably be good reading even now!

I don't know if I'm right but I think I've read this one too, and it is a good book.

Maybe it never made it across, yours sound fun too though.
