Refusing the Brain Churn

Popping in to wish everyone a good day. I will not be online today to read and comment; nor will I write much today. If I do, there are no plans to write any contemplative, reflective or philosophical material.

I woke up about midnight, and have not been asleep but a quick cat-nap here and there. Out of bed by 7:15, I have already been up and in the shower, and am dressed.

I never did leave my townhouse yesterday. I am bound and determined to do so today. I need to take back these dark, dreary foreign films, and need to find something that will be a bit lighthearted to watch that will make me laugh.

I must let go of the stress over the activity on my page. Though I will do so, I must admit, however, that I feel some disappointment when the coin total moves only six coins in an eight-hour period. Yet, I cannot put myself through any more self-inflicted brain-churning craziness, just to try to make up for what I expect I "should" be pulling in.

Refusing to sit here any longer, as a feckless, old woman, I am bound and determined today to find the sorting baskets, get a cup of coffee and smile at other human beings.

I must also spend my $15 Eddie Bauer birthday coupon before it expires in six days, so I will swing by the EB Outlet Store in town.

Thanks to all of you for your encouragement, prayers, support, etc. these last couple of weeks. It has made a difference.

Now, let me get out of here before the half-hour is up. I want to be out-the-door and gone by 9 a.m.

Good Luck and have fun. Writing is not easy and you have had a lot on your plate. We all need days off once in awhile.

Some fresh air and ambling around will do a world of good. When I am feeling that way, I like a good comedy movie and frequently watch Ground Hog Day. Always feel better for that!

I hope you got out and have a good time. Hopefully some fresh air and exercise will revitalize you. I feel bad when I stay inside all day long even on a rainy day.

It's days like this I just skim over those annoying, happy, inspirational quotes on Fakebook. And, yes, some sunlight might help.

The Jerk usually does it for me.

I also had a horribly restless night. Fell asleep super early, woke up at one in the morning, and although I managed to get some sleep between 6 and 8 , I have been up since 8:15 a.m. Now I'm heading to the shower and get cleaned, shaved, and at least alert. Might get a haircut if I can leave the house before the storms kick in.

Ah, CoralLevang , I'm sorry to hear you are yet feeling overwhelmed, but with all that has been going on in your life, particularly the long-awaited divorce for your daughter, it is little wonder you are experiencing what I term "rebound" emotional effects. I'll be sorry to not have your presence here today, but getting out and about sounds like what the doctor would order.

You may be some other things, but you are NOT "feckless." Your choice of words only magnifies to me the funk you are in.

I hope you managed to get out the door and spend that EB coupon of yours.

I hope you have a great day and get accomplished everything you desire. Maybe some of the Mr. Bean movies would cheer you up.

Yes. Good. Get the hell out of Dodge and go have a life!

Feisty56 May I just say this? You are a very intuitive person.
Hugs...thanks.

DWDavisRSL I did, indeed, spend it. I bought my daughter a scarf and gloves(down-filled) that were on clearance. After my $15 off coupon and the extra discount from that table, my cost was $5.63 including tax. I think I will give them to her for her birthday in a few days, rather than wait until Christmas.

I work nights, so, this is my late evening. But I never touch booze anymore so, I got it just for you.

Well, here then 🍪

CoralLevang wrote on September 13, 2015, 1:47 PM

I cannot see most of the graphics/emojis that some use. Not sure why.
And I rarely touch booze. Been there, done that, and lived to tell about it. I was quite stupid in my 20s.

LoudMan wrote on September 13, 2015, 1:49 PM

The latest offering was a cookie.

CoralLevang wrote on September 13, 2015, 1:59 PM

*laughs* I though it was a pizza.

AliCanary wrote on September 13, 2015, 3:51 PM

You know I'll always be here for you, but you don't have to ALWAYS be here, lol emoticon

No room here sorry, but we could maybe turn him loose in the woods up the road. Maybe he would fit in with the wild creatures there.
But LoudMan you need to promise not to come and try to eat my chickens, we all know what I do to critters that try that
