Is This a Sign?

I am sitting here laughing at myself. This is because laughing is better than crying. My tablet, on which I usually write my morning post, just doesn't like me today. Seriously. I wrote an earlier post here. When I went to submit there was only the Submit button showing, nothing else. So I submitted. Up came a message saying the captcha was wrong. But there'd been no captcha options. This happened several times. Now, if I'd been on my computer I'd probably have been able to retrieve it. Not on my tablet. I had another go, and still no success, but with the loss again of my insignificant ramblings. At least this time all three button options are showing. Maybe I'll be lucky this time. Or is this a sign that I'm not meant to be here today?

If we were to take these things as signs valmnz , we would get very little writing done. Bubblews always had Forbidden 404 error, power failures just before pressing the submit button and tabs and computers behaving like tantrum prone toddlers are part and parcel of a writer's life I think

Oh well, you are here now. My tablet has the habit of throwing me out just as I am about to submit! All that work and no result.

valmnz wrote on September 8, 2015, 4:02 PM

Dawnwriter at least I'm a great believer in third time lucky.

valmnz wrote on September 8, 2015, 4:04 PM

MegL it's just as well I'm a positive person emoticon

Maybe it's a sign you should ditch your tablet!

CoralLevang wrote on September 8, 2015, 4:12 PM

One of the things I have started doing is to hit the Draft Button.

Once you do that, it appears in the draft section, and has made life so much easier for me. MegL spoke of the Draft, and that there were few captchas. Since I started doing that, I have not encountered any troubles.

Both you and MegL are both extremely positive. You, as well as several othersm keep me going when I have wanted to pull my hair out.

valmnz wrote on September 8, 2015, 4:18 PM

That's what I usually do too CoralLevang but the option just wasn't there. There was only the submit button. Quite strange.

Kasman my tablet and I have a love hate relationship, but are inseparable.

This is why you and I should both write our posts in Word, or at least a text file, before attempting to copy them here! Hope you eventually get tablet-san to post whatever it is you would like us to read!

That does sound odd.
I find that when I post a comment, and the page refreshes, I have to refresh again, because the scroll feature on the right (grey bar) doesn't show up. This is in Chrome, so I don't know about other browsers.

CoralLevang my tablet has some strange habits at times emoticon

Your tablet has strange habits. I have strange habits. You'd know just how to handle the quirkiness of me.

I'm relieved to see you didn't give up altogether. I'd call that determination. : )

It happens to me as well on my desktop pc. I close shop, open it again and click on the' restore. article'. Very rarely do I lose my article. But it is annoying when I have to go through all that.

valmnz wrote on September 8, 2015, 7:55 PM

In this case bestwriter there was no restore button showing, nor a draft button. Very peculiar!

valmnz wrote on September 8, 2015, 7:56 PM

Feisty56 or a stupid way to spend an hour emoticon

valmnz wrote on September 8, 2015, 7:58 PM

WordChazer it's a long time since I've done that, but perhaps you are right.

bestwriter wrote on September 8, 2015, 8:09 PM

If you had opened the submit page once again perhaps you would have seen it. But yes. Strange things happen at Persona and I do not think it has anything to do with your tablet.

cheri wrote on September 8, 2015, 11:09 PM

May be that is a sign that there is an error going on.

Glad it worked this time for you. I always use my laptop for this site

Rufuszen wrote on September 9, 2015, 5:57 AM

I still haven't gotten a tablet. Don't think I will now!

CalmGemini wrote on September 9, 2015, 10:55 AM

valmnz ,I do not think anything is wrong with your tablet. This has happened on my PC and I had lost the post. There was only the submit button. No capcha came up.But the message said that the capcha was wrong. As Dawnwriter says if we were to take these things as signs,we cannot get much writing done.
