Today Is the Day for Baseball with My Nephew
It was 10 days ago that my nephew had his 7th birthday. I let him know then that I "had a surprise" for him. Today is the day. It is the last home game for the Minor League Baseball team, the Tacoma Rainiers.
Last night's game had to be postponed until today, due to a major storm that came through the area yesterday. So, it is highly likely that the league will cut both games short to five innings, especially since the forecast calls for showers all day today at 40%. Thankfully, he is only 7-years-old, so he will not notice the difference.
After the game and dropping he and his mother off at their home, I will be making the journey back north and find another motel close to the courthouse for day 2 of the divorce trial. I hope this part is over tomorrow.
I will not be back online here until tomorrow night, so I appreciate your continued good thoughts and prayers for my daughter and this situation. I will likely not post from my cell phone because of the difficulty and quirkiness from doing so on my antiquated Samsung Galaxy S2.
