Wednesday Noon After a Morning with my Persona Peeps

I had every intention of being gone by 10 o'clock this morning, but it is now noon. I am caught up with all of the notifications, finishing up with the last of the new posts. What took me into two more hours of intended time was the wonderful discussions that ensued on some of the posts.

What I love is good discussion and debate, or what the philosophers would have called "good argument." And there was some of that today.

What I do not like (in any situation, online or face-to-fac) is, when "good argument" is presented and another has no other other response than "to each their own," or other such brush-offs.

But, today was energizing, so I want to thank you for a wonderful four hours here online this morning.

Now, I really MUST get to the VA Hospital to pick up my medication so it is available on Monday for injection. I would also like to get to see R.N., if I can, as it has been a few days.

I still want that steno book for taking notes on the proceedings and the "I-cannot-believe-he-just-said-that" quotes on Friday's trial, if he (who was the one who created the histrionics of a simple situation) even shows up.

I would not put it past him to arrange for Hurricane Erika to bypass alexdg1 and other Floridians, in order to make her way to Seattle, just to give him reason to call in with an excuse not to be there. Unless, of course, Erika does it on her own, just to make his existence worse than everything else that life has dumped on him by others.

And I have digressed...

Have a great Wednesday!

I shall wait to see if you run into another friend and end up having to do all this tomorrow!

*laughs* Live each moment as it comes.

I cannot delay it. Tomorrow, I have to make my way north to find lodging in the evening. The meds must be refrigerated, so they couldn't be held to Friday late night without it. It's a must for me to get the meds today. The visit depends on time.

And here I am, waking far too early on Thursday morning in Australia, my body thinking it's already back in New Zealand time. I haven't had much time to read and write these last few days, but I shall ease myself back into routine soon.

Get to it woman! :p

All kidding aside, be safe and have a good day.

CoralLevang wrote on August 26, 2015, 3:47 PM

What is the time difference, valmnz ? Safe journey home!

CoralLevang wrote on August 26, 2015, 3:47 PM

Then quite writing, so I am not distracted!! LOL

CoralLevang here in Melbourne i'm exactly two hours behind where I'd be at home. So, whilst it's currently 6 a.m. Thursday here, it's 8 a.m. at home.

Hope you get all of your running done today. But you may still be lurking here in the shadows for all I know. If you are go out and get some fresh air, we will be here when you get back. emoticon

Hope RN is doing ok and that you get done what you needed to.

I'll be looking forward to an update on RN and hoping it's a positive report. : )

I had planned to escape the heat at the library again his afternoon to avoid running air conditioning, but so far the heat hasn't driven me away and it's after four. Time to take a lunch / reading break.

Being a multi-tasker I am here there and everywhere at the same time which ofcourse excludes leaving the premises emoticon  It is quite satisfying when you come across discussions where you can put in your two cents worth or should I say 2 coins (lol)

Thank you. It's been an okay day. On here tonight. I am pretty much doing what your doing. Catching up on stuff. I have to get on my laptop to see all the notifications. Hope to get to bed by a decent hour. God bless.

I have never been to a VA hospital. As an overseas resident with no state of residence now, would I be able to visit any VA hospital? I probably should be Googling this information but thought I would ask you first.

CoralLevang wrote on August 27, 2015, 12:59 AM

Didn't get to visit R.N. but all the rest is done.

CoralLevang wrote on August 27, 2015, 1:01 AM

I wish I had the answer to that. I would certainly contact a VA rep about that. Do you have a service-connected disability rating?

Paulie wrote on August 27, 2015, 3:35 AM

No, I don't. I hope that isn't the only way to see a doctor or get treatment at the VA.

CoralLevang wrote on August 27, 2015, 4:34 AM

I would start by going to the VA website. I know that the VA is inundated right now, and the backlog is crazy. Service-connected vets have priority, of course. I do not know what is all available.....

you might also want to contact a Vet Rep from the home state (before moving overseas).... where was that and how long ago?

Paulie wrote on August 27, 2015, 4:57 AM

My last home state of residence was Maryland, but that was eight years ago. I will contact the Vet Rep.

I have used "to each their own" or "I agree to disagree" in debates, but that's usually when I see things are getting heated or we're just going to continue to go around in circles (and by that third cycle, I'm done with the conversation to be honest, as we're only repeating ourselves).

inertia4 wrote on August 28, 2015, 10:19 AM

I like a good conversation as well. Something juicy where it can continue on without lacking the words to respond. I am still trying to be active here and elsewhere. I might break my day up into sections. I think that might work better for me. I really don't like the idea of spending one day here, one day there and so on. After all, it is only three sites.

The morning got away from me, too--woke up at 6am and the next time I looked at the clock, it was 11! What the hell???
