I Am Ready to Call It a Night

It has been one of those days that I did not leave the house. I did not shower or get dressed. I did not go check the mail. I have done very little, aside from check and reply to email, read and write, and watch some stupid reality show on television.
I did not eat "properly" today. I went for most of the day without eating. At 3:30 p.m. I ate a half cantaloupe, and soon after fixed myself a peanut butter sandwich. I suppose I should find something light for a late supper. Maybe scrambled eggs and toast?
I did talk to a couple of people on the phone today.
One was my friend B.B., who is also friends with R.N. She lives closer to him, and has a stronger friendship. She has been under a lot of stress and pressure with his being ill and having this surgery. She has also had some of her own medical issues. Thankfully, she did see a doctor about the one issue, and there seems to be nothing too concerning. I think that stress is her biggest nemesis, and I hope that she is able to get a handle on it.
I also had a good long call with my sister in Tulsa. This is two days in a row. She is one of the funniest people I have ever known and I laugh so much when we have a conversation. She is seven years younger than me, so we grew up in similar situations, with 11 years of shared experiences, until I left home. The other two siblings were 11 and 13 1/2 years my juniors.
So, that was my day. Perhaps, it was a bit of melancholy that kept me closed up from the outside world. I am thankful that I have an online community to keep me from shutting down completely on days like today.
Now, it is time for me to shower, and see if I can make a dent in this book that is due back to the library on the 3rd. There are no renewals allowed, as someone else has placed it on hold.
Goodnight.

I hope you have a good day tomorrow. I am also a lot older than all but one sibling. I have a sister 10 years younger, a brother 13 years youngers, and finally the youngest sister who is 15 years my junior.

Thanks. You, too, Paulie . My brother is 3.5 years younger than I, but we aren't close. Then my sisters are 7, 11, 13.5 years younger.

I am really only close to one sister who is 10 years younger than me. She is both a vet and a farmer. I see a lot of my dad in her.

We all have our good days and bad days. Here's hoping that today is better.

I have days like that and spend too much time in front of the TV and only eat snacks all day. I think I am getting over that stage.

It's not like me to have these grumpier days. Thank you. Though I did not sleep well last night, I'm already up and showered at nearly 6 a.m. It's already better!

I think we all are capable of this behavior, truth be told.

That is the upside to having animals, instead of people. LOL

Best spend some time in that book. If it's already on hold it might be a while before it is available to check out again.

There were days this summer when I didn't turn on the TV or the radio, but concentrated on writing and working online. I wanted to know nothing of the outside world on those days.

It's easily purchased, too, at Barnes and Noble.

EXACTLY! That's where I have been when I get on my OCD-PP bandwagon!
