Time to Celebrate a Special Birthday

I am heading out in a few minutes to get to the Dollar Store to pick up a birthday bag large enough to hold my nephew's new back pack and all the goodies that I am stuffing inside of it. I had every intention to wrap each thing individually, but I do not want to do that, as I have no time now. I will probably find some other goodies to fill up the pack.

I want to get to the ballpark before I go to my sister's home, so I can pick up the tickets for the 30th. I am so excited about doing that. I love to surprise people with things. I hope he will love it and have something to look forward to in 10 days.

Dinner tonight is spaghetti and garlic bread. Oh, of course...and birthday cake!

He won't care about them being wrapped, he will just be glad to see a whole load of things! Hope he has a good time - and you too.

I nearly always have a good time with him. Even when he's a pain. I get to leave. emoticon :winking: That's the best part about being an auntie or gramma. emoticon :winking:

The back pack will be in a ba and everything else stuffed in it. So it is kind of wrapped. Hope you have a great time

I think he is going to be thrilled with the backpack and the tickets. My boys loved going to Kinston Indians games back when we had a 1-A team over there. It was only 30 minutes to the stadium and they used to have a Scout night where Scouts got to camp in the outfield after the game.

How old is your nephew? When I was 8 or 9, I was just crazy about baseball. I'm sure that he will enjoy going to the game as well as your backpack.

It was stuffed to the gills! I loved watching him opening all his presents. The "thing" now is Pokemon trading cards, so I found out. LOL

By the time he got to my present, he was so over stimulated that I think he was on shut-down mode. I will look forward to the game on the 30th. I'm going to the ball park tomorrow to pick up tickets. I did not get a chance to get there before the box office closed today.

He turned 7 (See "I Love 7-year-old Boys") . I filled the backpack with school supplies, snacks, a baseball, glow worms, candy, stickers, and an ice cream pop maker.

Aiden really has a treat inside of the backpack. Make sure that he gets the ball signed by a player. I think he would like that.

Oh, that baseball wasn't a real one. He'll get that one in 10 days. emoticon :winking:

Sounds like quite the party. I hope everyone, especially your nephew, has a wonderful time.

It was very casual, with some kids and adult friends and family. Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, cake and presents. Doesn't get any better than that! Wonderful, indeed!
