Morning On The River, Evening At Home

Our morning began with a beautiful clear view of the river while we enjoyed breakfast on our campsite patio. Sadly, after breakfast it was time to pack up and take down and head back home so we could prepare for the coming week.

Once we'd cleaned everything up and gotten it put away, we spent the rest of the afternoon resting and playing with Ace. Ginger chose not to play, but stayed on the couch and watched.

For dinner, K made a delicious taco salad. Our dessert is frozen fruit bars. They are like Popsicles, only made with real fruit juice and taste so much richer than Popsicles.

Now we are watching the Hugh Grant movie SIRENS. It is a rather interesting study of the conflict between freedom of expression and the Anglican Church in Australia in the 1930s. Prior to that we watched an early Hugh Grant picture, ROWING AGAINST THE WIND. We were hoping to find either THE REWRITE or MUSIC AND LOVE but they are not on Netflix yet.

Any day you get to play with a dog was worth it.

How I would love to wake up with that refreshing view. It has been a long time.

I think it is great that you can multitask by posting articles while watching a movie. I probably couldn't because I would be too interested in the movie.

Those are our favorite weekends, when we get to relax in camp at the river.

There is something about playing catch/fetch with a dog that brightens the heart.

Just being near the river does my heart good. There is a reason I titled by first book River Dream.

It was wonderful. While it was warm it never got oppressively hot, and the nights were pleasant but not too cool.

I posted during the slow parts. Also, I'd seen both movies before, or parts of them, but my wife hadn't seen either.

It was very relaxing and just what we both needed heading into this week.

A restful day was just what we both hoped for and we did get it. Now we're ready for the challenges of the work week.
