Your X-Wing is ready, Master Jedi

My oldest son sent me a picture of himself dressed up for work the other day. At least that was how he described the picture in the message. When I opened the file I was greeted by the helmeted figure you see here. Of course I had to reply to him with the title of this post. He got a real kick out of that.

With the new Star Wars movie coming out sometime in the Not Too Distant Future, and knowing how much A loved the first three Star Wars movies (Episodes IV through VI), I knew he would appreciate the reference.

I do wish the power of the Force were here today to help me with the housework. Somehow, K elicited a promise from me today that I would spend my last free day at home before the school year officially starts on Monday doing the housework that we would normally do over the weekend because we are going camping tomorrow down on the river. She is taking a vacation day to make it a three day weekend.

We haven't been camping since our trip to the mountains and haven't been to the river in way too long.

I'm sure your son got a big smile out of your reply. : ) Housework is not any fun, no matter when it's done. Turn on some music you enjoy, grit your teeth, and just do it. Then you and the missus can enjoy your river trip with nothing hanging undone over your heads.

He does kind of look like one lol. The faster the work gets done the sooner you can relax

I take it your son doesn't work in a grocery store then? Or maybe he works in one in a rough area! emoticon

I got all the housework done, the furry critters taken care of, and made dinner.

I worked a little, relaxed (wrote/read) a little and then worked a little more.

No, he doesn't work in a grocery store, but you could say he is training to work in the deliver business.

I think he looks more like an Ant. emoticon :winking:

I can see it. If I'd used more of the picture perhaps the effect would have been better.

The last time I saw a picture like this is when I watched "Top Gun." Is your son training to be a fighter pilot?

A's job will be more what Goose did in the back seat. He will be a combat systems officer/navigator. A is hoping to be on something bigger on a bomber or Hercules gunship rather than in a fighter.

His job looks and sounds very interesting and exciting. In a way, I envy him for the excitement he has.

It sounds like a fascinating job. And, that's the beauty of the Force. You're not even aware she used a Jedi mind trick on you. 😊
