Tonight's Blue Moon
Good evening to all members of persona paper. I decided to post my article under the heading "breaking news" because after reading the latest posts, I am quite sure that I will be copying anybody. The news reports say that the moon will be blue tonight at sundown. That is because it is again a full moon (the second one in the last 29 days) and also because the moon will be at its closest to earth.
This phenomenon occurs about every for the first time in three years and it actually occurs every three to five years.
Your best vantage point to observe the blue moon is when looking towards the south where skies will be clearer.
I will certainly check out if I can observe this rare picture. I had never noticed that the moon was ever blue in my lifetime and I a reluctant 60 years old person.
But I must warn you, the moon itself will not appear blue. It is the fact that it is a second full moon in a month that makes it interesting apparently. Regardless of what the astronomers might say, I will observe the full moon tonight. The world seems so much quieter when there is a full bodied moon in the sky. At least, it appears like that in my corner of the world. And even when I was working as a registered nurse, I sadly report that the observations of a full moon pandemonium is quite untrue. We never got more accident victims, or more heart attacks or even more "disturbed" patients than usual on a night with a full moon.
Anyway. Thank you for letting me post here. I enjoy Persona Paper tremendously. It is quite an outlet in my arsenal of sites for writing and distributing knowledge.
