So I was watching American Sniper last night and I will have to say it was a pretty good movie. It wasn't really set up like a typical hollywood movie, and I'm not sure where it was made but it definitely didn't fit that typical bill. It was almost like a documentary which made it more real in a sense. The story was great and so was the casting. they portrayed and told the story really well and it was quite entertaining through and through.
While watching it I caught myself thinking what a crazy life to live in. I have tremendous respect for any military personnel that go through that. To conquer that fear I think even the best of us can only imagine. It is an act of complete selflessness and I would like to thank anyone involved in that community.
It has a very sad ending if you are going to watch it, but I definitley recommend the movie to anyone. Even my wife liked it and she usually only likes chic flicks and disney shows, mind you she did pull my hair in a few scenes out of nervousness.
But through and through I thought it was a great depiction of what war personnel go through both on the field and when they return home. It also depicted well how the family reacts to these rotating tours overseas. So thank you to all armed force members. You are definitley all heroes in my mind and I hope to attain just a measure of your courage for my life as well.
