Am awake therefore am online

The weather today is supposed to be deteriorating towards heavy rain through the afternoon so that means a good day can be had online.

Just as well really, as I have a long list of items to list which my mother-in-law donated last time we saw her, and at least one article to write. Plus I want to take a look at my and make some tweaks to it. I was contacted by an SEO specialist who offered me a free evaluation of my website and my new enterprise doesn't score terribly well at the moment.

I may even have time to extract some of the older reviews from other sites and start publishing them on there too, but it might be easier not to do too much republishing for now until I'm further on with the review. I could quite happily delete a load of posts from other sites though, in preparation for republication on the blog.

First things first is to complete the photographs I need to take so I can list all these eBay items. My camera battery gave up under the strain yesterday and needed charging. By the time it was ready, the light wasn't good enough to take any more pictures.

I have some op-ed pieces which I may post here later; thoughts on current behaviour patterns and similar things. But for now, as the rain is now heavy enough to have finally driven the chap with his lawn mower indoors, it's time for another cuppa before finishing those photogarphs and continuing to list items for sale on eBay.

Believe it or not, I have never bought or sold anything on Ebay. Would it be possible to list a house for sale?

If you have been contacted out of the blue by an "SEO Specialist" offering to improve your website, dump the email in the bulk/ scam bin. Most of them don't know what they are talking about, some of them are trying to hack your site and others will use black hat tactics that will get your site banned.

Yes, people have sold houses on Ebay BUT you would have to be careful about payment and viewing and probably the legal requirements for house sales in your country.

This chap actually wants me to write about his business. He's another freelancer, not someone I picked up on via an email. The site checks out at 100,000 places above mine on Alexa. I'm still tweaking my site anyway generally, because the G-Gods haven't found it that interesting as yet. I get a lot of views from my social media but very little indexing and crawling activity. I plan on running it through several of the free checker tools in the coming weeks to see how different metrics stack up.
