Hospital Again

I was in the hospital for the past five days. By now, I really should know that stopping my medications or messing with the dosages of them is never a good idea. Apparently I hadn't learned my lesson though! I quit taking one medication and tried to cut down the dosage of another - the result was having a psychotic episode last Thursday night and ending up in the local psychiatric hospital. They got me stabilized pretty quickly at least. But like a normal hospital, not much happens on a weekend there so I was there all the way until today until they decided I'd been stable long enough to release me. I go back to outpatient treatment tomorrow and hopefully to working on having a normal life!

You should have not done that but I guess you already learned a hard lesson here. Take care.

I know how tempting it can be to play with doses or to just skip a day here and there! Especially if you're low on pills or you're having side effects. I hope things will go better now that you're stable again emoticon

Sometimes the illness is what says "cut down, cut back" on the medications. I understand that some people have learnt to recognise that siren voice and have found some way to act on it to squash it. Glad you are feeling better, hope it continues going well for you.

At least you're better now. That's the important thing. It can difficult dealing with medications and such. I hope it doesn't happen again.
