Trying to Maintain a Zen Morning, But You Make It Difficult

It is not working. I am trying to center myself. Find balance and tranquility. Use reading and community as a way to connect.

Unfortunately, you are not helping me! You keep writing, and I cannot keep up!

(Oops! Sorry, I lost it for just a moment there.)

I want to get through all the new things written since more than 24 hours ago. In this past 45 minutes, I have read through all the other categories on my activity breakdown, leaving the new posts for last.

Now, I have (as of this writing) 68 new posts to read and on which to comment, in order to support my community of other balanced, centered, and tranquil souls.

I think my zen just stood up and is traipsing into the forest. Who stole my quiet meadow moments? I want them back!

There you are!

I would stop writing, so you had less to look at. But on second though. I don't want to! ;)

Be calm. It's all an illusion. As Oogway told Shifu: "You will never achieve your destiny until you give up the illusion of control... You just need to believe."

morilla I know, I know. it's the control part that I though I had mastered. emoticon :winking:

I think I am going to have to figure out a new system. Trying to be everything to everybody isn't working. LOL

lexiconlover wrote on July 14, 2015, 2:14 PM

Haha. Yeah, I generally check my notifications, then answer the comments. Then go read what's been posted if there are any new articles. You of course probably have more connections than I do lol.

If I am to have any tranquility, I found I have to set less ambitious goals. I've spent a good bit of my life trying to be everything to everyone. I found out that not only is that not practical, the one who ends up with the angst is myself. I think you do a wonderful job of being a member of the community here. There is only so much CoralLevang to go around though. : )

We all do what we can when we can. Some do more, some do less. Every little helps! emoticon

Feisty56 SO true about the tranquility, which is why I have this in "Humor" category. LOL Thanks for your vote of confidence.

MegL Which is why I wrote about us each having a "role" in it.

I just am on this mission before I'm 60. LOL Then I will slow down! emoticon :winking:

My quiet day ended as soon as Ace thought I'd slept late enough and no matter how hard I tried to pretend to sleep, he just kept nudging me. I've been on here since finishing a new HubPages article and publishing that this morning. I've have gotten some calls made and set up some appointments for work on the house and Blu, my wife's truck.

Oh, and my acquaintance with Zen really begins and ends with the book ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE by Robert M. Persig.

CoralLevang wrote on July 14, 2015, 4:18 PM

You have just given me a title for a book. emoticon :winking: I'll let you know when I write it.

LOL how peaceful that statue looks! I was away all day long. I am catching up too.

CoralLevang wrote on July 15, 2015, 3:46 AM

I wish I had the peaceful all of the time. LOL

Shellyann36 wrote on July 15, 2015, 4:52 AM

Oh that would be so very nice. I would love some zen. Of course mine is out the window. The twins woke me up this morning at 3:30 running through the house with serving spoons......

My Zen always gets bored and leaves without notice. Damn. Thats not good. You have lot of gusto, believe me. I used to have drive like you do, but somewhere along the way it faded. It sparks up every now and then, but for the most part it fizzles. As for my Zen, I looked for it yesterday. I found it resting in that hallway. I took it back and got a lot done. But then I sat forest and sure enough, it was gone again. Now it is among the missing.

I'll help. I didn't write anything in the last three days or today. See how much reading I saved you?

CoralLevang wrote on July 16, 2015, 4:32 AM

BarbRad LOL I love you! Thank you for making me laugh!!!

Zen reminds me of a friend .Don't know how it goes with him owing to the problem with logging in bubblews .It is hard to take the mind off the things you need to do .
