Seems easy enough... I always hate it when I'm so hungry and the food I get is piping hot... it prolongs my agony and most of the time, I'll be too stupid to realize it and still have a mouhtful of food... only to regret it because my mouth gets burned eating piping hot food. More agony for me!!! LOL!!!

Anyway, the term 'piping hot' means very hot and usually refers to food. To use it in a sentence, 'The pie that they served during the fair was piping hot!'.

You get my drift... lol!!! Anyway, the origin of the term is from Scotland and this idiomatic expression alludes to something that is so hot that it makes a whistling and sizzling sound similar to that made by high-pitched musical instruments.

Absolutely--I hate burning my mouth like that. The agony can last for days and make eating torture. Try some nice cold yogurt!
