Week 1

My first week of work outside of the home in many, many years is over. I'll be starting week 2 tomorrow. It's going really well. I really like my boss and some of the other people in the company as well. Everyone, for the most part, seems really friendly.

I know that I have a lot to learn about the mortgage industry, and my boss is already talking about having me licensed as a processor after awhile. As much as I love kids though, I don't miss doing in home daycare. I know that it is still something I want to go after (working with children) but I think having my work not within my home has been great. I still babysit on Saturday's though, and that can be annoying at times, but I'm thrilled to work out of the home now. I miss my kids when I'm not with them, but I know when school starts, they will practically not be home all day anyway. I'm sure once they get used to me being out of the home on a regular basis, they will be fine and get used to how things will be.

It is going well though, and I just wanted to give an update while I could.

That's good to know. My husband and I both agree that childcare is one of the hardest, most tiring jobs around and we have BOTH done a lot of it.

Change is always hard and when you have kids sometimes they don't like the change but they adjust. Its nice to work from home but then always being home can be a challenge on a person.
