Dear Little Birds - I hope They Aren´t Drunk!

I was just sitting out on my caravan terrace in the shade, when I noticed a couple of little Blue Tit´s were enjoying some of the fruits left on my miniature Nispero tree (medlar Fruits)
I had a good crop this year, thanks to a warm, dry spring and some decent rains while the fruits were growing. I only ate a few myself, but gave some to guests and visitors and what´s left on the tree are now brown and shrivelled, but the Tit´s seemed to be having a feast, I just hope they didn´t get drunk on the fermenting fruit. I´ll keep my eye on them and see if their flight gets a bit wobbly LOL
When I went to take a picture of the Nispero tree, I saw little spotty was at the base, I wonder if he was there having a nibble on fallen fruit or hoping a fly or two would be attracted by the odour and land within his reach? I tried to get a picture of him too, but he scarpered when my camera got too close and quickly disappeared into the undergrowth.
Now it´s coffee time, and I´ll keep my camera with me just in case something else attracts my attention and is willing to pose.
Here´s a picture of another little spotty, taken last year.

My cat´s used to catch them too, but both cats are no longer with me. Lizards make up for the loss though and i don´t even have to feed them

It's so neat to read about all the little critters you have in your back yard. Nature provides a nice little floor show when we just take time to sit and watch!

They appeared to be flying a straight line, so must have been sober LOL

I look on all the things around here that I see often as pet´s, that doesn´t include the odd snake though

Well, I´ll be keeping my eye´s open for any drunken behaviour in that case. And at the first sign I´ll be throwing the fermented fruits in the dustbin LOL

That would be a site to see, drunk birds. It is nice that you had a good crop this year.
