Good morning or whatever part of the day is for you. Today is Saturday, June 27, 2015. The temperature is 63.8°F and the humidity is 84% at 5:43 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 mph with gusts of 1.6 mph. It was cloudy and dawning when I stuck my head out. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 84° (“cooler than yesterday”) today.
We went walking in a park about 10 miles from home that has a redwood grove in it. The pic is from the park. The redwood grove is tucked away and we didn’t find it. I don’t imagine the trees get as big as they do farther north, but I’d still like to see them. We’ll go back when they give guided tours. I was surprised to find the park deserted except for an enormous children’s party.
The park was gorgeous, but was might be expected, the picnic area were reserved for a fee. Gotta squeeze every last little dime out. There were artificial ponds and waterfowl and waterfowl calling cards. I took a nice pic of Mr. Siduri when we walked out onto a dock.
We were going to meet a friend who is involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism, but he texted last night and said that he’s got too much to do. I’d like to go walking again before it gets too hot. I’m just not sure where. I can see the clouds are burning off. It will be warm again today.
Got another late start to the day. Not too bad, but I just don’t feel like I’ll accomplish much today.
Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.
Off to write another day—
1. Spend an hour with Siegfried.
2. Finish reading The Missing Chums and review as time permits
4. Review “Antarctica.”
5. Continue looking for markets for “Dirt.”
