Experimenting with Blogspot

Gave my blog a litte “cosmetic surgery” last night. This is what happens when you are in “self-teach learn as you go” mode.

Use a do-it-yourself tool or application for years and then one day you have an “Ah hah” moment because you finally figure out what the “button” is for!

Usually my attention is devoted to my blog, but last night decided that there was something not quite right with the look of my ( ) blog. Hmmm … ? What can I do that I haven't done before? Have you ever changed the fonts for the blog post titles and dates or added highlights? It's a simple thing but for me it was a revelation !

Well I didn't want o get overly ambitious since it was my first time but clicked on the “Customize” button for the template dared myself.

Clicked on “Advanced” and boldly went where I have never gone before!

Changed the font for my post title so that it could stand out more and increased the font size for the dates and even highlighted it in blue. That was it! Didn't dare go any further for fear things might get screwed up. Very pleased with my blogging adventure!

My Blog Stop! created using the official Google Blogger (Blogspot) blog publishing platform .

I applaud your exploration of the technological part of blogging!

Love the way you have changed the title to be blog STOP, when it was created on blog spot, that must be good SEO!

It sounds like you had one of those ah ha! moments. That happens to me all the time.

It also takes me a while to decide on the fonts and even the colors for my blogs. I use Google Fonts. Am also currently working on a Blogger blog though it's not live yet. Still got a lot more to fix.

LOL. That's funny. That thought never even occurred to me. I have been publishing blogs on a lot of free platforms. Some lived. Some have gone on to blog heaven. In case anybody was following my blogging escapades I jokingly thought to myself that I should name this one “My Blog Stop” as I should probably STOP and just work on the remaining blogs that survived.

Was using other platforms but problems and technical difficulties developed; and some apps shut down. Dispensable Thoughts (Wordpress, com); Express Yourself (; and My Next 50 Years ( are the 3 blogs still standing! This is my second blog with Blogspot. My first one was deleted. Being a newbie blogger, evidently I violated the rules. Having gained a little experience, decided to try again. Eh! What's the worse that could happen? The second blog would get deleted too?? :)

If you get your own hosting and domain name, they can't shut you down, not for violating rules, because you make the rules.
