The Day Before

Good Afternoon, yes the day before Father's Day.What are your plan?

Since my dad been gone for a long time and will spend Father's Day somewhere.

One of my girls live in Georgia, one here driving her mother to visit her sister.

My son has no communication with me.

So it will be quiet. My daughter will be visiting me soon to drop of a gift.

Then she has to leave. No plan for that day.It will be raining and guess will be stuck in the house.

Not sure how long.Depending on the storm. This is the remnant of Hurricane Bill.

Last night we had dinner with friends. They we manage to see twice a year.

They are vegetarian. An unusual dinner well maybe not.

We had pasta with avocado sauce. This is the first time for all of us.

Not bad.It was Zita with the sauce.Remind me of the pesto sauce that I make

Only one thing and being Italian the pasta was not el dente. This is a must.

Not sure why people do this.Overcook the pasta? But being a nice guy, went ahead and enjoy the festive.

Along with this with salad and plenty of wine if needed.

The dessert is Strawberry short cake. For most of it we have whipped cream.

They do not drink milk. They bought some some coconut milk.It was supposed to whip not.

Did not happen,so we had coconut milk over the biscuit.

The rest was fine.Good night and have a lovely evening.

They maybe should have bought coconut cream and spooned that over the dessert. Too bad about the spaghetti. My father is long gone. We will have a quiet day at home unless some of my husband's children surprise us. They are not very near so not likely. I am sorry you have a son who doesn't keep in touch. My husband and I each have a child like that. Take care and happy father's day to you.

It sounds like they are vegan instead of vegetarians. Vegans won't eat any animal products and that includes dairy. My father died when I was nine years old. I still think of him often.

I spent Thursday with my dad. We went to lunch together (his favorite restaurant, Cracker Barrel), then I took him to his annual urologist check-up. It was a great day. My brother gets to take him out tomorrow. emoticon
