On a Mission This Weekend, Care to Join Me?

I am on a mission this summer solstice weekend. Actually, I have several things I would like to accomplish, but since this weekend will be a lot of daylight, I am going to try to cram as much as I possibly can do to catch up on many things I have neglected or put-off.

One thing that takes a back-burner is my involvement here at Persona Paper, when I am working or dealing with other situations. When I am not involved daily, the traffic slows down from 100 coins a day to 10 or fewer. There is clearly a correlation between effort and views from fellow "Peeps."

So, I have made it my goal, as I wrote in "On the Way to 10K" to:

  • Reach 10K coins by June 30th
  • Keep up with my notifications and comments daily
  • Write once a day

I have clearly been remiss in the latter two. I am well-behind in notifications and reading, and I missed yesterday's goal to write.

This morning, however, I have found that I have 9270 coins currently in my bank. This is up from the 8928 from the that article submission, nearly a 3.9% increase in four days. Not bad for having been to work a good portion of these four days.

I am confident that I can reach the 10K goal by the end of the month, but I need to place some mini-goals into play for the weekend.

  1. Reach 9700 coins by midnight Sunday night
  2. Submit 15 articles/posts, including this one, in same time frame
  3. Get current with reading my notifications
  4. Have fun doing it, so it doesn't feel like a chore

So, there it is! Now I'm on a mission!

It's always good to have a challenge. My husband challenged us to walk faster on our usual walk this morning, so I had to trot at times! But you have to keep active. I am not doing any writing challenges on here at present as I am finishing off my thesis. That's quite enough of a challenge!

CoralLevang You are very active here. I am not I know that. And I know I can increase my coins a lot by being active. Now that the other site is down for upgrades I can spend time here. But I do have a project I have to finish in the yard. So possibly tomorrow morning I will try and do that.

MegL A thesis IS a writing challenge, my friend! LOL

What is your thesis? To which discipline will you receive your Masters degree?

CoralLevang wrote on June 19, 2015, 1:57 PM

inertia4 I do not consider myself "very" active, but that you. I'm simply trying to finish up some goals I have in life, before it's "my time." emoticon :winking: Make sure you take pictures of your yard project and share them! Good topics to share your stories.

Good luck with it!

CoralLevang Well I might snap some pictures. But I am not the picture person really. All I have to do is fill in some concrete by the new fence we got. And a few cracks in the yard.

Engineering and I am doing doctoral studies. IF I ever get it in and survive the viva, I will post more about it.

Thank you. Hope all is well in your world, Ms. PriscillaKing . I was mentioning you the other day in something. Can't remember now. I think it was when ruby3881 was posting about the current goings on in Bubblews/SweebleApp land.

Looking forward to it! Let's keep one another motivated.

Going to see a show in a few, so will probably do some writing when I get home this evening.

I hope you enjoy your mission. I am here to relax, no mission for me. :D

CoralLevang wrote on June 20, 2015, 2:42 PM

I sure will. I just finished going through notifications. Need to get busy with writing, but have to head to the library today. Forgot to do so yesterday and lost something I had on hold. Need to put new hold on it. *rme*

I hope you make it. I'm usually all written out by the time I finish the writing I have to do for my own sites each day.

CoralLevang wrote on June 22, 2015, 9:32 AM

I will look forward to your challenge.

I find missions relaxing on some weird level.
