New Caravan

Well our new caravan arrived two months ago and we have been out twice. The first time was just for two nights but it gave us a chance to use it. Where the other caravan was family orientated this one is luxury on wheels just for the two of us. It has a large lounge and fixed bed with a big bathroom behind that. Microwave , nice cooker and fridge. After years of sandy feet on the floor and candy floss hidden under the beds we are looking forward to peace and quiet , just the two of us.

We used to camp out years ago but felt the need for a bit more comfort. We have many happy memories in the old caravan and tent. We had so much fun with the kids but now are needs are different and intend to splash out a bit more on ourselves.

My wife and I also reckon we could do with a bit more comfort in our old(ish) age rather than the campsites and cheap B&Bs we used to go to in our youth. Nowadays we prefer a decent hotel - there are half-a-dozen scattered around Scotland which we use as often as we can for a short weekend break.

We find hotels to restrictive and we like to eat and sleep when we feel like. Maybe one day we may try a hotel.

I miss being able to camp in a tent, but we just can't do the ground thing anymore and my husband needs electricity for his C-PAP machine. I don't know if I'd even feel safe tent camping these days.

I know I could not rough it in a tent any more I need my comfort and electric.
