Here to Say Hello

Hello everyone! I haven't been here for a while and thought I'd come back to say hello and to see how things are going on this site. Since I've last written, two other sites I was writing on have folded. I'm glad to see that Persona Paper is still alive and kicking.

We are having some beautiful weather here in British Columbia. Last week's dry spell ended yesterday with a change in the wind and some gentle rain. I haven't yet gone down to check my garden to see how it is faring since the rain. I had just transplanted some young seedlings and hope they have nicely settled in to their new beds.

I have also been busy planting flowers in my hanging baskets. I have mostly petunias, but so many pretty colours!

The photo I'm using is from, but the petunias look a lot like some of the ones in my baskets. I have purple and white and blue flowers as well.

How about you? Are you gardening this year?

Good to see you back here. We are having great weather here and the garden is finally looking lush and ready to produce.

Hi, the winter is rather wet down here in New Zealand. That did make for easy weed pulling last weekend though.

My mother used to have pale pink, white, and purple petunias every year when I was little. Then one year she got a variegated one that was a darker pink like the one in the picture here. I think after that, she always got the ones with the richer colours!

We garden all year round and love it. Our garden is our joy and it looks so pretty when everything comes out.

I do mainly vegetable gardening. We have a few flowers in pots and some marigolds in the garden.

I've just readied my garden for the winter seedlings - silverbeet and lettuce to keep the guinea pigs fed as well.

I wish I could garden. My body is giving out on me in places I need for gardening. I'm glad I put in my drought-resistant plants in 2013 and they are able to be almost self-sufficient now.

I am not very active here, but I come time by time to write an article and stay in touch. This is a serious and good site.

Do you pull weeds in winter? Amazing!

I like the colorful ones, too. When I was small, I preferred other flowers to petunias, but now I like their showy brightness.

I think the pretty double ones and the brighter, variegated ones are nicer than those we had when I was little too emoticon
