Starting a Diet Diary

I haven't been on here for ages, but I thought it might be good to start a log online to help keep me at least a little motivated. I'm trying to lose a little weight, mostly so that I can fit into cute clothes, but I'm gonna try to eat healthily while being on a budget. This isn't my first day on the diet but I'll just start my log now. So, here was yesterday's (June 11th) breakdown:

Breakfast: Apples and cinnamon oatmeal - 160 calories
Lunch - A chicken sandwich - 230 calories
Dinner - Spaghetti with carrots, zucchini, and loaded with parmesan cheese - 684
Dessert - Vanilla frozen yogurt with cinnamon stirred in - 242 calories
Total - 1,316 calories

This was an extremely low calorie day to be honest. Kind of thought spaghetti sauce and noodles would be a lot higher in calories. That did mean I got to have a sizable dessert without feeling guilty at all, so that was nice.

As far as exercise goes, I was in the gym for about 30 min, but nothing hard. Just walking and a few minutes lightly jogging. I don't want to go crazy my first few days and then quit. I am hoping to get into shape enough that I can run a 5k in the near future however.

Tomorrow I'm going to probably go for a higher calorie total and exercise a little more to combat that. I don't want to starve myself, and I'd rather get stronger than thinner if there had to be a choice. So, hopefully I'll remember to log tomorrow. See you all then!
