List Making Possibilities

Last April, shared a post about a website that will pay $100 for a list . Truth be told, keep pinching myself to see if it's all a dream. Expecting the site to disappear! Just checked the site today and the “Write and Get Paid” offer is still there. The second truth is that my mind has drawn a blank! All of a sudden can't think of a list of things that would be worth $100!!

So now in an effort to overcome my blank and my fear of rejection - (Yes. There is a possibility you might do all that hard work and then the site doesn't accept your submission because it doesn't meet the publishing requirements.) - found another site – List.ly - to introduce myself to the “art of listmaking”.

The sign up process was easy. They allow you to create the first 3 lists using the PREMIUM features. After that, you can Go PRO or you can do the free or private plan and just share your list links with whomever you choose. Made two lists so far. Very simple. Nothing elegant, extensive or exaggerated. The “Embed List” feature is very handy because you can share via your websites or blogs.

  • My first list was shared at one of my blogs.
  • My second list was shared in a Google Plus community for movie lovers.

If you go to the direct link, you can choose the visual display format from the dropdown box. The “Gallery” format display is a quick view.

List 1: Best Crock Pot or Slow Cooker Chicken Recipes

List 2: Foreign Films and TV Shows for Your Watch List

Haven't decided on my third list yet.

Sounds like an interesting website. I might have to look into it.

Why do they want lists? Are people looking for lists of things? Like bucket lists or lists of things to do or are they just looking for lists of similar things found in different places, like your chicken recipes list? I just find it hard to get my head round why someone wants a list.

cmoneyspinner Well right now I am waiting on one new social site that has plans for this weekend. After the few webinars that have. I am just watching for now. And there is yet another blog platform site similar to this and Bubblews but claims to be better. it hasn't launched abut hopefully this year some time.

They've done studies. Apparently people like lists. I like tools where you can do something once and recycle or re-share several times.

cmoneyspinner wrote on June 11, 2015, 4:23 PM

It's another tool that helps me with my home business projects.

Yeah. I bookmarked a link about recommended social media sites but haven't reviewed it yet. Hope it all goes well for you!

cmoneyspinner I hope those few sites work really. I am tired of seeing sites go away or just fall off the planet.

I think I've got too many sites to write for already. Now it appears Zurker is back in a new form. I don't think I need it anymore. I have four social networking sites I can't keep up with already.

I have read where folks love to read lists. It's quick and dirty.

Thanks for informing but I am not that mere interested because of my busy schedules. I just wrote here in PersonaPaper, PostAnyAricle and Hubspages. But postanyarticle shuts down that is why my articles there puts in a trash bin. My HubPages, I cannot update because I cannot fulfill their requirements. My last hub there was 6 weeks ago. I only maintain right now PersonaPaper.

Whatever works for you. What's Zurker??

cmoneyspinner wrote on June 12, 2015, 12:49 PM

Yeah. I read the “quick” part. I skipped over the “dirty” part. :)

There's no rush or due date and nothing that says as soon as you learn about something you have to try it right then!! But now that you know about it, that knowledge might come in handy later on. Stay with PersonaPaper. This is a nice site!

It is interesting. Some of the lists I've looked at so far are very informative.

CoralLevang wrote on June 13, 2015, 4:48 PM

Sounds interesting. I'll have to check them out. You say you can make money there?

cmoneyspinner wrote on June 16, 2015, 7:59 PM

No. Not at this list. List.ly helps you gain experience making lists.
