ISP Down Time Sky Views

While it may induce feelings of frustration when our Internet Service Provider (ISP) is down for one reason or another, this gives us an opportunity to take care of business in other life things. Or, perhaps we may just squander the down time away while bemoaning the powers that be who had denied our desire or need for time online.

Yesterday my ISP went down around three in the afternoon. As you can see from the top sky view pictured, there was no foul weather to cause the service interruption.

What To Do During ISP Down Time

Initially, and since internet service is generally only down for an hour or so if stormy weather is not the cause of cessation, I chose to take my dog Valentino out for a long walk. We enjoyed some extra off-leash training time.

Much to my dismay, service did not return quickly. No matter. I opened my Corel PSP graphics program and busied myself with design work for my Zazzle stores, penning poems to add to my creations. I was quite productive!

When I went to bed last night around ten o'clock, service had still not returned. I read for a while then got myself a much-needed good night of sleep. Thankfully, my ISP was up and running when I powered up my desktop computer this morning!

I had big plans to play catch-up online, get my designs uploaded to Zazzle, then settle in for some writing. Ha! So much for those plans!

As you can see from the bottom sky view, nature intervened with a thunderstorm! So here I sat with a mid-morning computer shut down. Nonetheless, we did get a good downpour of much-needed rain so I did not complain.

I busied myself with some housework that needed done, as that is usually last on my list of to-do's. Once the storm ceased, my dog and I took a walk in the neighborhood, enjoying the coolness of the air for a change.

It is still overcast and I hope it stays that way for the rest of the day. I wouldn't even mind more rain. However, I do hope I do not have to shut the computer down again. I've had enough down time!

When my internet goes down I sit in a corner of the room and rock gently back and forth gibbering to myself until it comes back up!

Kasman , I have been known to do the same many times! I am practicing being mindful of the moment these days so I try not to let things rattle my cage as much as they might have in the past.

I usually get as much off line work done before I go online, so when my service is down, I get really frustrated and the only benefit is if I keep track of how long it was off, our provider takes a certain amount off our bill.

Nice photos! It's amazing how productive we can be when we DON'T have access to the web. LOL at Kasman 's response emoticon
