Yankee Candles

My great grandmother is a shopping channel addict. We have a large family and she always feels as though she needs to constantly buy things for us. And don’t get me wrong, it’s great. She’s a very generous woman. But she tends to go overboard sometimes and her house is packed with boxes containing a variety of things she will never need.

However, one thing that I definitely don’t mind receiving is Yankee Candles. If you’ve ever had one, I have no doubt in my mind that you love them just as much as I do. I have never heard a bad word said against them.

A couple of years ago, my grandmother gave me a selection of Yankee Candles to choose from. I went through them, lifting the lid off each and inhaled all of the wonderful fragrances. I settled on one called ‘Meadow’. It had the smell of freshly cut grass which, as I’m sure you know, is a lovely aroma. She also gave me one a few months ago called ‘Pineapple Cilantro’. It’s delightful and I find myself lighting it most days.

Some of my other favourites include Christmas Cookie, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Buttercream (…are you seeing the theme here?) and Fluffy Towels.

Another fantastic thing is, they last for a very long time. And even though they are a little bit more expensive than regular scented candles, they are 100% worth the price.

Have you ever used a Yankee Candle? Do you have a favourite? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading.

I enjoy candles of all types though I am a wee bit more partial to floating candles.

I used to work at Bath and Body Works and even though they don't have Yankee Candles, we still would have plenty of people ask specifically for them. During the slow times, you could find the associates along the candle wall picking their favorite scents.
