The front patch is weeded - now for the blog
As it's a national holiday here (the Late May Bank Holiday) I headed out immediately I crawled out of bed mid-morning to tame the jungle wilderness in the front patch. Most of it was grass, which meant that pulling it up was easier than getting the dandelions out. I also had a small sapling which had taken root, which has now been chopped back, one thistle, some brambles and ivy to remove.
My husband came out to put it all in the garden waste bin, ready for collection later this week, and then I swept the path and steps before coming back in again. In all, I think about an hour's work. Next weekend we'll have another go at the back garden.
Now I'm preparing to take a look at the blog and fiddle with my eBay listings all afternoon. Our friend DJ H0ffman is hosting his usual fortnightly radio show on NSB Radio this evening, so we'll be listening in as usual and having a good old chinwag in the chatroom.
But until then, it's time to pay attention to the blog.
