Using the New Google Plus Collections Feature

Recently Google announced a new feature called “Collections” for members of the Google Plus network. The concept is very similar to Pinterest . If you don't have a Pinterest account but you are on Google Plus, you might like the ability to group your posts by topic or category. Have a go at Collections .
So far, for my foodie G+ business page, 3 collections were set up ( Everyday Exotic Spices: CHEESE Meltdown; PIZZA Cravings; and WORLD Cuisine ), and for my home business page, 1 collection was created ( Cmoneyspinner's Home Business Projects: Online Writing Communities ) where my short posts and articles at sites like PersonaPaper , DailyTwoCents , HUBPages , etc. will be shared.
Today is Sunday which is usually a day when let my laptop have some “alone time”. However, there's a block of time that's empty right at the moment, so my work schedule was adjusted to do some “catch-up” tasks and/or try something new or different. Decided to create a G+ Collection on my profile. Why? Eh! Why not? My scatter-brained posts and shares could use some organizing.
The Collections is called: Treathyl Fox: Thoughts, Musings, Writings – My World .

I saw you on there and I think its a good idea. Another way to publicise our work.

I joined Google Plus awhile back, but I really don't understand it. As a result, I don't do much with it. While I think I understand the basic idea you're presenting is a way to 'organize' your posts for readers/viewers, as I said, I really don't grasp the whole 'social' aspect of the thing in terms of how all the parts and pieces fit together.

Thank you for the info. I will check it out. I haven't been writing anything earth shattering, so I don't know if it's worth it to organize my writing.

I find Google's features very difficult to navigate. If I get over there maybe I will check it out.

Thank you all for your comments
Kasman – Not sure what Google's idea was, but my idea was to publicize. So you can see me on G+ misbehaving like a shameless hussy, do you? How do I look?
MegL , wolfgirl569 , rescuegal - Thank you. I hope I have shared something that will be of benefit.
morilla – If you socialize on Facebook or do the same thing you're doing here at PersonaPaper – then being on GooglePlus isn't that much different.
&AbbyG – Old huh? My kids insisted on dragging me into 21st century kicking and screaming. They dragged my husband too and he was way more resistant than I was.
celticeagle – I was invited by Google to test their Plus network before it was made available to the public. I learned as they tested. Also had a friend already on G+ who pointed out some stuff and directed me. “I get by with a little help from my friends”. :) It's fun if you get the hang of it. Nice people in the circles too!

I don't "do" Facebook and don't even have a membership. I joined Google+ when I joined YouTube. It doesn't seem to be Persona Paper and I don't get the divisions it appears to be broken into.

That's nice to know Thank you.

&AbbyG – If I may say so, you seem to doing alright for somebody on their own. :)

morilla – It's just a social network. If you are on YouTube then you have a Google+ profile. Divisions? Not sure what you mean by that. But if you're not on Facebook then G+ probably won't interest you either. G+ was created as a Facebook comparable competitor. I was on Facebook first but I use both of them. I'll have both accounts until I get run out of town. Hopefully that won't happen. Not being sarcastic. I have been asked to leave places or marked or removed. I don't argue with folks over stuff that belongs to them. If they put the axe at the root of my tree, I just leave peacefully.

celticeagle – You're very welcome!

cmoneyspinner - you look like a shameless hussy!

Kasman - My husband constantly accuses me of being a temptress. I told him, he's the only one who thinks that, and I'm glad he still feels that way. It's been 4 decades since we first met each other. :)
