Tuckered Out and Eating my Head for Supper

It's been quite a week here.

Firstly, my 18month old died. To start with, it ate its Intel Technology Driver, then purple baby-san decided to munch the hard drive as well. Result was the return to full time employment of , my hard working ThinkPad. He still boots up and can be used to type articles, eBay listings, tweets etc on. But this is rather shot and I need to find another, plus find someone who knows how to repair it for me.

Then I need to locate the for baby-san. The wherewithall to buy a replacement not being with me right now,you see. So this morning, I dived into one of my storage boxes in the hope that this elusive bit of paper might be within. Well, I found many other things, and lots of for my colleague's straw-allergic horse, in the form of flyers, magazines and envelopes. But no warranty.

After trundling over to to dispose of an eBay Collection Only item, I failed to find the pair of I had hoped to see in my favorite clothes store. I came home via the fish and chip shop and demolished a large portion of sausage and chips for my only meal of the day. Americans please note, battered sausage and chips, proper UK comfort food.

Spent the rest of the afternoon with my head in various crates, trying to spy this elusive warranty. Cleared one crate and found another sheaf of recyclable for my colleague's horse. Found where I had stashed some items and various other things I had been seeking. Worked out what was in the crates at the head of the stairs (penpal things, Christmas decorations, old bits of computer kit, a spare shower head and other things we need to keep for now). Started my next Collection Only eBay stash.

Wrote one today and another two earlier in the week when baby-san was expiring one at a time.

Cleaned the and changed the (it's a king size duvet...)

Had a bop around earlier to Madonna's 'Hung Up' video . Present energy levels preclude doing the same to other favorite videos, such as Eric Prydz/Steve Winwood 'Call On Me' and Fedde LeGrand 'Put Your Hands Up (for Detroit)'. Attempted to stave off the flow of sub-par music emanating from SceneSat radio station by queuing real music by DJ H0ffman and other favorites by Mordi, Jogeir Lilledahl and other demoscene regulars. Discussed the merits of various characters with my husband by text. He is spending the weekend with a bunch of mates, at least one of whom 'ships RainbowDash. A real live . I approve.

After all that, I am now yawningly tired, enjoying my and really quite happy to sit here and type for the rest of the evening until I fall asleep.

I fell asleep last night watching the Cadfael Mysteries. Tomorrow is another day.

Cadfael with Derek Jacobi? Quality viewing you missed there, hon.

Hope you find the warranty soon and for the horse can they use wood chips or saw dust?

I hope I find the warranty soon too. It's good fun going through the crates, if heavy going and time consuming.

As for the horse, she's doing just fine on cardboard mixed in with both of those items you mention. Plus, it's doing me a favor by making me clear out my papers as I go along in the mighty declutter.

Sounds like you are having a blast despite all the computer woes emoticon :winking:

Glad to hear that for the horse. Just figured they were easier to get enough of for bedding compared to papers.

WordChazer Hugely entertaining post! Lotsa fun except for that failing laptop. I think those warranties need to be on the fridge with a magnet emoticon  !

I'm not sure what all you just said, but sounds like you were busy.

Probably the computer woes are making me sort more offline things.

The kitchen warranties are in the kitchen drawer. The electronic ones are not. My bad. It will show up, someplace.

Tuckered out - tired
Eating my head for supper - yawning widely

Glad to see that despite my immersion in US English I can still confuse North Americans!
