Taking Responsibility For What's Happening To You In Your Life

We've all done it at some point of our lives. Many of us do it on a daily basis...

I'm talking about "the blame game".

It's someone else's fault I never finished my degree. It's my bosses fault I get a shitty salary. It's the government's fault there aren't enough jobs and I don't have work.

Sometimes the blaming is legitimate but in most cases it's not.

It feels better when we dump responsibility on someone or something else. But it's all it does. It feeds our ego and makes us feel a little bit better about ourselves.

But it doesn't solve anything.

And here's an easy way to start being productive, to get ahead in life and get what you want from it:

Take responsibility for what's happening to you in your life!

The moment you do that, two things happen

1. You begin to feel better because now the control is back in your hands. If you're responsible for the bad stuff that's happening to you right now, then YOU're the one with the power to stop it and turn it around!

2. You become more productive and begin to take action for better things to happen in your life.

You go from a passive observer of your life to an active player in it.

Nobody's going to do it for you. Only YOU can.

Try it, it's great and very soon you'll see the fruits of your labour.

Now go and have a wonderful life just like you've always wanted!

This is so very true. And if you do too much for people, you make them dependent and helpless. It can be hard to fight to get out from having everything done for you but it is essential if you want to take responsibility for your own life. As my grandmother said, "As you make your bed, so must you lie on it". She meant that your choices in life and how well you worked with them, determined your own future.

it is hard for a person who feels powerless to do this. Yet if small things in their life can improve by their own actions they will gradually realize they can be responsible for bigger things.
