A Broken Toe
If it isn't one thing, it's another on our front. As if I haven't already dealt with enough over the past month or two, I ended up breaking my toe yesterday. I'm fine really. I struggle with walking but that is about it. It's swollen and purple and blue too but I'm sure I will be alright. I might be out of the gym a bit longer than I anticipated though, which sort of sucks, but at least I have already lost 15 pounds over the past few months. Makes it not seem so bad to miss the gym.
Outside of that, things are getting better. Slowly but surely. I feel like life is getting back to normal a little bit! The kids are only in school for 3 more weeks before they are out for the summer. The extra curriculars shouldn't take over our life over the summer either, so that will be a relief. We have planned a family vacation in August and I'm super excited about it. I haven't been on a vacation since 2013 so I'm desperately looking forward to it.
Later today, I'm going to go through a few more posts and try to make sure there are no user issues that I need to handle, along with approving some new members. Hopefully you guys will see me around a bit more now that this college semester is over - which by the way, I aced! Woo hoo!
Heading to catch up with you all!

Congratulations on acing this semester!!
And I'm sorry to hear about your toe. Having broken my own toe (the one next to the baby toe) after smashing into a table leg on a dining table, I know EXACTLY what that is like. The top of my foot to my ankle was black for a long time before it turned blue. LOL

Yeah, mine is my 3rd toe. It sucks. It's super painful.

Oh no, I remember when I broke my toe, it isn't fun, especially the day before Thanksgiving. ;-P I hope you will be feeling better soon and it sounds like you have a fun-filled summer planned out. I also hope you do get around to approving new members, someone contacted me saying she wasn't approved and now I know why, you have been very busy. I will let her know, thanks for the update.

I broke my toe ten years ago so I know how you feel, its a very sore thing but they usually heal quite quickly. Well done for acing your classes!

I'm very sorry to hear about your broken toe. Did you get any surgery for it? I really admire you for being so ambitious with your job here, kids, and going to college to boot.

Ouch! I have broken a couple of toes in the past few years. I have learned to be careful at home - it seems so easy to walk into a table leg or - once I left a 5 lb barbell on the floor which I walked into.

Sorry about your toe. I hope it isn't too painful and heals quickly. Take care now.

Congrats on acing this semester! Take care of that toe. I broke my "pinky" toe once several years ago. My wife and I had done some pretty decent hiking, returning home tired, but in good shape. That night I walked into our bedroom doorway, smacking that toe on the door jamb, fracturing it and causing it to poke out at almost a right angle to my foot. Idiot.

Ouch!!! Stubbing a toe hurts like hell, so breaking one must be even worse. Well done on your college results, it´s not easy being a mature student with lots of responsibilities outside of college for sure.

I add my congratulations for the 'acing' Well done :) Bad news about the toe break but with R&R I'm sure it will get better quicker than running around on it ! (As if that will happen right lol )

I can definitely sympathize with you. Broken toes hurt like the Dickens, but not much can be done about them. It sounds like you're as busy as I have been - take care of yourself!

Ow, how did you manage to give yourself a broken toe? My colleague's horse stepped on hers but last I read, you didn't keep horses. Well done on acing your course too.
ETA - darn spacebar...!

Congratulations on doing well in your courses. Bummer about the toe. I broke one right before needing to drive cross -country and it did mess with my planned walking. I was still able to do some, but I had to do it with that special open shoe on my right foot. I feel for you and hope it heals soon.

Sounds to me like everything is getting better for you, despite your latest injury!

Hope the toe is all healed. Have had a number of broken toes ... doc says not to walk around barefooted or in flip flops, but who can keep shoes on all day long?
