2014 Royal Rumble Match - Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt - TBT Post

Well the planned Intercontinental Championship match between Daniel Bryan and Bad News Wade Barrett didn't push through in last nights WWE pay per view 'Extreme Rules'. Bryan wasn't given a medical clearance to fight. So much for what I had wanted to happen in that fight which I wrote in this post, Ladies and Gentlemen, Your New Intercontinental Champion, Wade Barrett!!! . Barrett, did have a match in the Extreme Rules pre-show which he lose to a guy from NXT.

Anyway, I'm a big Bryan fan so after watching 'Extreme Rules', I went ahead and watched again, Bryan and Bray Wyatt's match in the previous Royal Rumble. This was a good match with a superstar performance from Bray Wyatt. Husky Harris proved to be a legit heel with his own stable to boot! Daniel Bryan was his impressive self and I was really glad that he allowed Bray to get one over him. New characters, both heels and faces, need a push and a win over a certified and established superstar does that. Daniel Bryan, may not be the face of WWE, but he is a popular and talented wrestler and Bray winning over him clearly catapults Bray into superstar status. Not Randy Orton or John Cena status but it was close. The crowd chanting 'This is awesome!' was most welcome as it is a good opening match. Bray Wyatt hits his finisher Sister Abigail and then covers Bryan for the win.

With that win, the Daniel Bryan-Bray Wyatt feud was over and the Wyatt Family went their separate ways with each one getting their respective pushes and storyline. Wyatt, of course, gets the biggest push as he had a WrestleMania match against The Undertaker, losing this one to the Phenom.

Any wrestling fans out here in PP? Don't you just hate it when matches don't push through?

My 16 year old son is a big fan, he told me Bryan wasn't there. I've kind of become a sideline type of fan I guess you can call it through my sons interest. He likes Bryan and I like Reigns. He watches all the pay per views and usually texts me while watching as to which match is up and won wins. lol
