Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Saturday April 25, 2015. The temperature is 59.1°F and the humidity is 83% at 4:47 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 with gusts of 0 mph. It was overcast when I stuck my head out with some patches of blue. It rained yesterday at least hard enough to rearrange the dirt on the cars, but the ground is dry now. Weather Underground is predicting a 20% chance of precipitation and a high of 68 today.
The walk yesterday was put off because of the rain, though I think we would have had the park to ourselves. Because Mr. Siduri wanted to go buy a hard drive, we had lunch as a Mexican restaurant we usually don’t get to. We got there just ahead of the crowd. Some yummy huevos rancheros. And I got to read in the car while he went and got his hard drive.
Some more toilet drama. Apparently, there is a design flaw in the convenience that is supposed to be able to flush 17 golf balls. The gaskets around the nuts and bolts in the tank aren’t just quite big enough and are prone to leaking, which these are doing. There is a fix-it kit the manufactures make available. It’ll take two weeks to get here so Mr. Siduri has put some silicon seal around the in the tank until then. Oh, (hand to forehead) will it never end? But seriously, I’m glad he’s checking this and following up. It could be a real mess if he weren’t.
I’m acquiring followers on Twitter, but for the most part, that’s irrelevant. Most of them want to sell me books or the service of tweeting/promoting my book(s). Some of them just seem hellbent on following anything that tweets. I think I’ve followed one person back.
Mr. Siduri bought us tickets to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit up in Los Angeles tomorrow. That should be interesting. There’s a McDonald’s up there that doesn’t serve breakfast, the only thing that worth bothering with at McDonald’s IMHO, because it opens about the same time as the museums, 10-ish or so. It’s a bit of a drive, but not too much. We plan to get there early. I’m looking forward to this.
Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy.
