The Sheriff Is Going to Superbowl XLVIII!!! - FBF Post
Throwing a flashbackFriday post now.
I remember when the sheriff, Peyton Manning, was going to Superbowl XLVIII. He led his Denver Broncos to a 26-16 win over his perennial rival Tom Brady. There is definitely a lot of back story going on between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. I remember all those games where Brady led his Patriots team to win after win after win over Peyton's Indianapolis Colts. Peyton would whine and whine to no end after losing all those games. I was a big Tom Brady fan, even though he is a Jedi and I'm a Sith. Us, Siths and Jedis can get along when it comes to football.
Anyway, Peyton Manning had a really good game that day. Monster numbers is a way to describe it, 400 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. He is still 5-10 against Tom Brady though. Still, this is a huge story, a good and positive one at that, for Peyton Manning who at that time was coming off multiple neck surgeries.
Truth be told, John Elway was heard shouting 'Stick it up where the sun don't shine Tim Tebow!'. Tim Tebow, the ever gracious one, fell on his knees, prayed and gave thanks. This is a little known fact, Tim Tebow, back then when he was with Denver, prayed, 'God, please help me help Denver win the Superbowl.', and boooooom! From the heavens, came Peyton Manning!!!
