Not So Family Friendly

I popped onto Bubblews to check on the few friends that are still there. I had my 10 year old boy with me, which isn't out of the ordinary. My kids are usually with me when I interact and read email...etc.

After reading an article, I scrolled down to leave a comment and Wowzers! 3 of the 4 ad on that banner mid-page had rather scantily clad women on it. I scrolled quickly past and hoped that he wasn't really paying attention.

I known that sooner or later he will be exposed to stuff like that, it is all part of life, but I am not ready for those questions and whatnot at 10 years old.

I am not trying to badmouth Bubblews, I still get some great inspiration from there. I enjoy staying in touch with connection on that site as well as here, but perhaps in the future, I will have to start doing it without the kids around.

I seldom log in to Bubblews these days, but when I do I will be careful not to have a child around.

I dont think they can be picky about what ads are shown anymore over there. They simply want the money from them

There have been ads on there that I found distasteful, but I was able to block them somehow or another. Sad that they're still doing that. ;(

Occasionally I go into bubblews. I agree there are many risque ads that are to much for young kids.

Is that the only place possibly your child could be exposed to something you feel he should not? If that be the case I am glad for you that you can have a watch over him.

The sponsored content ads are very revealing and sometimes gross.

I use to go over to Bubblews but haven't for a while. I do have to admit, they always seemed to have some rather distasteful ads. I'm sure they are just trying to pull in any ads that they can for the money. But it does make the site look a little tacky.
