Top Post - TBT Post

First off, the accompanying photo looks like the Incredible Hulk giving a thumbs up. Either that or a guy who has green skin! LOL!

Anyway, title says it all!!!

Not sure how long my post stayed as a top post in the 'B' site. All I remember was I was only able to do that once. It was the first and last time for me! Kinda a big deal back then. I must admit I was kinda excited.

Anyway, thinking back, it makes me wonder what catapults a post into the front page and be a top post there at the 'B' site. Luck? Good solid connections? Karmic retribution? Interesting subject? Handsome and personable author? Hhhhmmmmmm... Nowadays, they have some 'featured' posts which stay on the front page but the thing is, no one exactly knows how a post a featured post is chosen. Not that I care.

When I do write my posts, I don't think of it being in the front page much less to be a top post. I do think of my readers, which are my connections and basically the whole of community of readers out there. LOL! I know you can't please everyone but it sure is worth a shot.

Cheers everyone!!!!

Best way to go - please your readers!

Being featured is only secondary. We should always aim to please readers.

I don't know how a featured post gets picked, other than the owner/admins pick them. At least I think that's what was said.

Yup, that is the case. They pick the posts but how they pick these posts is a mystery.

It would be a nightmare, with hundreds of comments to reply to. Good for you though if you enjoyed.

Yup! Easier said than done though.

Yes &motorjam , we should write to please - not just our readers but also ourselves.

Well, if I remember correctly, the post didn't have that many comments so it was manageable replying to the comments.

I am surprised,I have heard others say that was what they didn't like ,that was in the first days I think though..
