Heroes of Change Organization Incorporated, voluntary assistance to the needy
Right, so here's a new thing. An organization which is so new to the online world that it doesn't have a website yet. Even the logo file I was sent won't download. I'll add it if I solve the issue but until then, I'm using a placeholder image from Pixabay. The only mention I can find online leads to a foursquare page for an organic grocery in Chicago, which may have been where the organization started, although I don't know for sure.
Anyway, according to what I have been told by founder Terreance Seay, his business Heroes of Change Organization Incorporated is a voluntary organization offering services for the disadvantaged . It covers all the usual areas you would expect, such as assistance with housing issues, outreach, food and nutrition advice, job placements and more.
The project works with many groups of people who are in need of help. There is a diverse list of groups who have received assistance so far. The service has provided HIV/STI prevention advice and awareness and helped organize events for the LGBT community. The homeless have benefited from food and housing assistance, teen parents have been offered help and advice, child care services and access to parenting classes. Medical assistance, education support, counseling and mentoring are all available to those in need.
Still very much a community-based word of mouth initiative, this voluntary organization has the potential to grow and give back to more than just its local community. There are many people around the world who need free and easy-to-find access to advice such as is offered by Heroes of Change Organization Inc., and who may not wish to approach the big name charities, or may not be able to do so due to their circumstances.
The kind of people who need a second chance program, for instance, may already have a felony record, may be unable to find secure employment or housing, and may be battling addictions. Heroes of Change Organization Inc., aims to be there for these people, to help them get back on their feet and re-enter the community in a useful role. The business even offers help in the thorny areas of bad credit and evictions , which many more people are being faced with these days.
The world needs more grassroots initiatives like this, as a counterpoint to the big businesses which have been so much in the news lately. The actions of some of the big businesses have undoubtedly led to the need for voluntary services like Heroes of Change Organization Incorporated, as more people find themselves affected by situations they never thought they would face in their lifetime. There may even be a similar organization near you, should you find yourself needing it.
