Mythology, a good subject to learn
Mythology is a rich and full subject. Different countries all over the world have there own mythologies, which are often the roots to their society. In fact mythology is still with many cultures, embedded into their society. Like the Chinease Yin and Yang, which comes from the Chinease creation story of Paku. And India's Hinduism is built on ancient mythologies. Many more religions around the world incorporate ancient beleifs into there current religions. There is a lot to learn from mythology, and the teachings are as true for human kind then as they are now, but don't go believing everything you read.

I'm always interested I how many beliefs are shared across cultures; the story of the great flood, for example.

As you said it is a great subject to learn.It is so vast that i believe one lifetime is not enough to cover all the different mythologies.

I was very much into Greek and Roman mythology as a kid. So many interesting stories!

I took a course on mythology last year and it was one of the most interesting courses I have taken. I have always been interested in mythology and the professor I had was nice and passionate about what he was teaching and made the classroom a fun environment.
