Coffeehouse or Library?
Okay, so which do you prefer, the coffeehouse or the library, for writing? If someone where to ask me that today I might say
library. Something about the books, the copier, maybe. I feel surrounded by literary inspiration. Is it quiet enough? Most of the
time. Is it easy to focus and get online? Yes. Usually. Of course, as I say that a busload of kids come in with parents and I loose concentration.
I was in the middle of writing on my newest WIP, about my life with Turner Syndrome. I have a goal set to finish it. I am
here at the library because our laptops (yes, plural) have been fried and broken - you name it. It is up to me to use alternate
modes of writing, like the library, until I can get at least one fixed. Ugh!
Anyway, I love working at the library for the most part. Sometimes I write my poetry, for instance, in a journal, by hand , then type it out.
I also like the coffeehouse atmosphere. I do find it sometimes too distracting. Everyone has their preference. Early in the morning is great, no matter where
you are. Go figure!
If you have a project to do, do you have a favorite place or time to do it?

how about at home? I can't write with my cellphone, my eyes blink when I am outside. I rather use laptop at home.

I think we have the best of both worlds. There are cafes inside the libraries, so you can drink coffee, and yet enjoy the coziness and peace of a library.

kimberlydub I never thought about this actually. I like the coffeehouse and I like the library. Although I never really go to either. But for writing and inspiration I would say the library. And there is one a few blocks away form my house. I need to start going there more often.

Yes at home . I do that. Especially on bad weather days! Glad it is spring...
