Drawing is ART

I started to fall in love with drawing since my teenage years in school.

My parents and sibling are not artistic people nor draw well at all. They can't even draw a house, let alone people.

I came to know that drawing is ART, one of the techniques where a person draws an image of an object or anime based on the actual picture.

Frankly speaking, I can't draw a "REAL" human image at all. It needs a lot of patience and concentration to draw out the fine lines of contours which gives the expression of art coming alive.

Once, our Art teacher told everyone in the class to draw a Chinese lady wearing Chongsam, a traditional dress for Chinese ladies that shows tight figure lines.

A couple of my friends could draw the image very well, almost like real while I drew a semi-human anime character instead. My teacher told me that I could draw better in anime character instead of objects, which I agree with her 100%.

Hence, I gave up in drawing objects and engrossed myself into drawing anime characters such as Snoopy, Garfield, Flintstones , etc.

Many of my friends and classmates were amazed of my new found talent in ART, that is drawing anime.

I found passion in drawing since then. I could draw any anime characters when I see the actual image on website, a book or even newspaper comic strip.

Drawing isn't hard if you practice often. As the saying goes" Practice makes perfect!"

Do you have a passion in ART?

Do you draw object or anime ?

Art comes in various forms and drawing is one such.

our drawing of Lucy and Snoopy is super. Do you know Chinese calligraphy? That is also art.

I can't even draw half as good as what you did there. Maybe you should explore this talent especially as your son gets older.

I'm afraid that I have neither the talent nor the passion for art. I can take it or leave it - usually I pay little attention to any kind of art. This is probably because I am a very practical person.

I hate art and cooking. These are the two subjects that I never could pass.

yeah, maybe, good thing that my daughter can draw very well in image objects such as apples with shadows and contours, flowers, etc. She took up art lessons during school days. I can't draw well, only anime.

nope, I don't know calligraphy because I am chinese illiterate. I can't read or write chinese. I can speak and understand Chinese because I was forced to learn when I started to work after school.

I can not draw very well. But, I do love to color and paint. When I paint, it is mostly abstract.
