Cleaning up after dinner is hard

I usually get up at about 6 am and all day long there is a steady stream of household to tackle.

Sending to school and picking them up later, cleaning the house, washing dishes, cooking meals, laundry and taking care of my 2 year old as well as tutoring my older children consumes most of my day other than my online writing.

I handle most responsibilities well but cleaning up after is the hardest chore in my opinion. The energy level is low, and the prospect of cleaning the shelves and stove very unappealing.

Then there’s leftover to tackle as well as clearing the dinner table. And somehow, this work seems very repetitive. And yet, I cannot sleep until all the things are put away neatly (somewhat neatly, at least)

I wish I had a magic wand like Mrs. Weasley from books to clean up the kitchen for me and storing everything neatly in the .

What’s the household chore you hate to handle?

Cooking - and cleaning up after it! Fortunately, I have a personal chef to do that for me! emoticon

I really hate taking out the trash and vacuuming!

I swear I am ironingphobic. I loathe the ironing, and now that I don't watch TV, the chore is easier outsourced to my local ironing service.

I can never think of tackling all what you are doing single handed. I have help around.

Now that there's just me the kitchen is still my least favorite clean-up job. How old are your children? Even little ones can help some and they seem to have a boundless store of energy.

If I have had a busy day, cleaning up after supper is very hard for me too as I am tired by then. If my husband cooked though, the clean up is pretty easy, he is a very tidy cook. I have been training myself to make sure other things are done so that the dishes are all I need to do after supper and then it seems less daunting.

I just do everything along the way which makes it so easy.

I hate washing the dishes and cleaning up after eating. Anything but those two tasks and I'm good to go.

That's why many households in Singapore either do not cook or they use steaming or boiling method.
