There Is No Next Time

Here's another statement that I hold dear... 'There is no next time! There is only the now and the present. Do it!'.

Very similar to 'carpe diem' (I wrote about it here ) I always remind myself to do the things that I want to do at the earliest possible moment taking into account the importance of time. Of course, there are instances that 'life' happens and I need to change or even delay my plans but that is altogether another story. Consider this statement, another ideology of mine (read about it here ). Most of the time, we hear stories of 'life' preventing us doing what we want or worse, what we need...

So my fellow PPers, if there is something that you want to do or say, it is best that you do it now as there is no next time!!!

Yes, "do it now" and "just do it" are very useful ways of preventing procrastination.

I am known to procrastinate, when it comes to certain things. I really need to stop and work on it.

The time to do things is now. Time for us humans is finite. This is all true.

Last time when I made mistakes at work, I said sorry, and say I would not do it next time. My boss scolded me, and said never to think about doing the same mistake next time.

I procrastinate as well and for this I use a one-minute rule. If it is a task that can be done and completed in one minute, i do it immediately and I don't put it off. It has served me well and hope it helps you as well &Colibury21 .

I have learned this for myself over the years and now I am trying to teach my granddaughter. She whines about doing homework, whereas, if she just did it, it would take less time. She whines for longer than it takes to do it!

LOL MegL ! Weren't you the same when you were doing your homework back in the day?
