Ideology

It takes a certain mindset for me to go and write a piece of my mind. I guess it is due to the 'serious' nature of discussing ideologies. I mean, look it up online and you will know what I speak of.

Anyway, I've taken a slightly different route about the posts that I'll write about ideologies. Everything and anything that has affected or continues to affect the way I live my life is something that I believe affects my ideology. When I say everything and anything, I mean it... songs, books, movies, regular conversations that take an unusual turn... those sort of things. Why we box our beliefs into the conventions that we grew up with are beyond me? Perhaps, personal preference? I'm not so sure but what I do want to do moving forward is to open my eyes and mind to the world around me and continue to grow as a person. Exposing myself to what others believe is a good way for me and reading what other PPers have to write that is closely related to ideologies is a start.

Read my post about carpe diem and see what I mean.

I think travelling plays a very important part. If we travel to different places where people think differently, act differently, we will become a better person if we try to understand them.

I agree with you 100% scheng1 . Exposing oneself to different cultures would certainly help people broaden their belief.
