Holy Thoughts About Holy Week

Read the first part here, .

Continuing with my thoughts... oh and by the way, these thoguths aren't really holy. Perhaps less unholy than the first set though. LOL!

I do have fond memories of Holy Week... Visita Iglesia... hear mass in Quiapo Church... lots of time to reflect.

As I grew older, I began to understand the importance of Holy Week and how meaningful it is. Still, I can't stop these unholy thoughts from consuming me.

The Holy Week is perhaps the best time when there is no traffic around the city. Holy Week and Pacquiao fights... guaranteed traffic solvers. Of course, this year is different as there are a lot of road re-blocking projects around the country. Consider this your penance commuters. Consider this your penance... and the daily commute your cross to bear!!!

Holy Week is also the time when oil companies raise their fuel prices. This is a given. This is a constant ... like death and taxes. Consider this your penance Juan dela Cruz. Consider this your penance Filipino people and the continuing oil price hike your cross to bear!!!

How I fervently pray that we could crucify the local politicians that corrupt the coffers of the nation and the ignorant masses that continue to vote for them?

So do you think these thoughts are holy? What do you reflect upon during the Holy Week?

Holy Week used to be holy but our family has now shifted to be realistic - availing of the long vacation to unwind.

There is nothing holy about Jesus Christ. He is not real. Even if he was real, he never rose from the dead. He was a normal human being who was a cult leader. Why would anyone worship a human being? It is so stupid.
