Forgetting to Like!

I have been reading different posts, articles, stories. Now, I have discovered something I had wondered about. Sometimes, one sees more comments than ... likes. The comments appear to be words to let the author know their article was liked, even well-liked.

So, why doesn't it reflect in the 'Like' area? I began paying attention to myself as I read, commented, went on to read one post after the other. Something didn't feel right ...

I became aware of something I was doing ... I was forgetting to Like someone's article, post! Oh no! I really liked them, but ... I didn't click on Like at the top right area above each post.

Now, I know why it happens ... I was doing the same thing! I was forgetting to Like!

I've kind of gotten used to liking posts that I enjoy. Although sometimes it's easy to forget.

I want to get in the habit of liking when I really do... it's just not right to forget! :)

I am now conscious of the LIKE button. I always hit it after reading an interesting post.

If I click to view a post, it gets a "like" or a Thumbs Up, as a general rule. Who made that rule? UUhh ... ?? Me! I also click like for Comments that I like. Why? Because there is a Thumbs Up button there and I figured the site owners put it there so I could show I like the comment, if I liked it! (O.o) Quite frankly, I'm at other writing sites and wish all of them would put a like button for the comments. If Persona Paper can do it they probably can too! But I'm not any site to tell people how to run their own business! :)

I did the same when I first joined here, but soon remembered to like after having to go back to posts where I had forgotten to hit the button.

Sometimes it is not they forget, but they like to comment more, and for me as much as I want to click the like button -- it will take me another zillion of minutes before the system can count it because of my internet connection speed is so slow... hehehehe... So after I commented I am done, but if i read it and don't really have anything to comment I click the like button.

Hi Alex, I am making myself get in the habit of clicking on Like, then commenting.

Hey, you just made me aware of the Thumbs Up, and I clicked it for your comment! :)

GrannyGee wrote on March 31, 2015, 9:34 PM

I just clicked the Thumbs Up on your comment ... I haven't paid attention to it before. :)

I feel the same way, and I liked your comment, because I agree.

I do understand!

You are right.Even when I like a comment and write good comments sometimes I forget to click' Like''. I will keep it in mind from now on.

I've been wondering about that, too. I have several with multiple comments, but no likes. I click "like" more often than I comment. I'll be sure to do both here today.
