Do People (Even Your Friends And Family) Really Wish You To Succeed?

People usually say things like: "I wish you success" or "I hope you make it" but is that what they really mean?

Sadly usually not. And not only do they not really mean it, they secretly and many times unconsciously want you to fail.

Why? Because your success means that THEY are now slipping lower on the social scale in your group. And this means the end of status quo and more work for them to keep up.

I'm NOT saying this is always the case but you should be aware that many, if not most times, it is.

It is pure joy to me when I see someone really, truly happy for his or her friend succeeding. And you can tell if it's pure emotion or there's another agenda behind it (like if my friend succeeds, it means my circle of powerful friends has grown by one member).

As you can see, there are selfish reasons to be happy for your friend's success but what I usually observe is that people rarely wish really deeply, from the bottom of their heart, that their friend would succeed.

Kind of sad.

TOTALLY SUPER AND 100% CORRECT RIGHT AND TRUE!!!! Heheheh it is not that I am shouting but it is an emphasis my "I AGREE" button clicking it a hundred times, saying that I agree and believe in everything that you said here. I've been looking for a job for a thousand years (just kidding) but none of my relatives who are able to help me don't want to help me, you know why? because they are so scared that I might be better than them. And friends that don't really want to help and have the same thinking, and others who does not really meant in helping me. That is the sad story of my life. But honestly I have helped a lot of people, and they are all at their success but none of them remembers me, and sadly those who still here don't remember that I help them at some point, and looking at me as a poor rotten girl that has no good for them.

It's not just your life, don't worry. Most people find themselves in this situation. You have to be strong, though, and rely on yourself. You can do it, whatever it is, if you pursue it without quitting. I'm always nice to people and try to help but I never count on their helping me back. That's only a bonus if it happens. And it does sometimes.

I'm not sure that I agree or not. I think everyone truly wishes me success at what I love to do.
